Fall Harvest

Fall is here and we headed out to the pumpkin patch this week. Hudson loved running around and checking out all the pumpkins.

June!

This past month has flown by. Hudson has had a blast playing, swimming and running around!

He had his first big boo-boo and split open his 2 fingers between the barstool and tile floor. He could only be consoled by being held by his daddy and lots and lots of lollipops.

He has enjoyed slish-splashing in the pool. He swims like a fish and kicks his legs.

The 4th of July was spent going to the Danville Parade and hanging out in the backyard and pool.

And, most importantly, he has learned to talk on the phone like his grandma.

Moving

We are moving this weekend and are busy packing up our house. We have lived in this home for over 3 years and loved every minute of it. We have raised Hudson in this neighborhood and will miss our morning walks, lunches at the local cafe and evening strolls by the waterfront. We look to the future with hopeful hearts.

While Nick and I are not enjoying the packing process, Hudson is loving it. You put one item in the box, turn around, and Hudson has taken it out. It is such an adventure for him. He loves climbing up the boxes, crawling inside and tearing up the newspaper, all the while, chatting up a storm. He is probably telling us how HE thinks we should be packing the dishes, toys, etc!

Naptime

Naptime hasn't been going as planned lately and looks more like this than Dreamland.

Farmer's Market II

Farmer's Market

We love our walks to the Farmer's Market every Saturday morning.
Luckily, the past few weekends have been sunny and warm.

Sand

Hudson loves the sand. I took him to the park today and it was impossible to get a picture of him looking anyway but admiringly at the gleaming yellow grains. He rolled around in the warm bed of sand and screamed in delight. When he started eating handfuls I had to end the love affair.

Easter

Easter this year was rainy and cold. We held our Easter Egg Hunt inside. Hudson was content with the first egg he found and loved walking around shaking it listening to the sound it made. His eggs were filled with animal crackers - perfect for the little guy!
Aunt Katie explaining how the egg hunt works.

Spying all the hidden treasures.

Shaking his loot.

Trying to figure it all out.

Happy with his one "baseball" egg.

Sorting his stash.

"Tasting" everything in his Easter basket.

Grandpa and Brooke helping him eat his cookies.

He loves his doggies.

Smiles

Sometimes it just takes a smile from this little guy to brighten my day.

Toys!

Hudson got some new toys for his birthday. He was in heaven with the balls, trucks and things with wheels - which coincidentally would be his favorite toys of choice lately.

Rainy Day Blues

Today we had a case of the rainy day blues. Hudson has an ear infection...and a cold...and a skin infection...and is getting in his molars. Ontop of that it was rainy and windy today. Regardless, we went for our walk, went to Philz Coffee and got soaking wet. It was great to get out though!

Hudson turns 1!

Yesterday we celebrated Hudson's 1 year birthday! Grandma, Mom, Dad and Hudson started the day with a walk to the Ferry Building and enjoyed the farmer's market.

At 5:00, the "circus" party started with our closest friends and family.

Hudson enjoyed his 1st birthday cake that was layers of bright rainbow colors (which probably wasn't the best idea, but it was still fun)!
